Daniil Shmatkov

Daniil Shmatkov is an experienced researcher. He began his involvement in research in 2009 while working at the Department of Creative Pedagogy and Intellectual Property at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, where he completed his PhD thesis. From 2012 to 2019, he worked in the Intellectual Property Sector of the Research Department of the Academy.
In 2013, Daniil Shmatkov received a doctoral degree and began teaching as an assistant professor. From 2018 to 2020, he actively participated in the development of directions for higher education improvement within the framework of the "Development Strategy of the Kharkiv Region for 2021-2027". His dedication to research and development was recognized in 2020 when the European Commission, as the institution managing Horizon 2020, awarded the "Seal of Excellence" certificate to his project proposal, "Expression vs Functionality: Copyright Protection for Sports and Robotics Moves", which he submitted under the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions call in collaboration with Universidad de Jaen.
Daniil Shmatkov is a respected member of various scientific committees and works in cooperation with numerous SMEs and professors from various Ukrainian universities. Since 2018, he has been providing intellectual property support to innovative Ukrainian companies. His efforts have earned him the distinction of being a winner and fellow of several national and regional competitions and programs in the field of research and innovation.
Since 2021, he has been working as a Senior Research Associate at the Scientific and Research Institute of Providing Legal Framework for the Innovative Development of the National Academy of Law Sciences of Ukraine. In addition, since the same year, he has held the position of Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at the 4B Corporation (Amazon SPN).
