Andrew MacQueen

Andrew MacQueen is a legal professional specialising in data privacy. He currently works as a data privacy solicitor at Burness Paull LLP and serves as a part-time lecturer in law, focusing on cyber and data law at Robert Gordon University. Andrew appreciates the synergy between academia and practical experience in his field. Given the constantly evolving nature of data and technology law, he believes it is crucial to stay updated and informed.

In 2020, Andrew began his doctoral research journey by pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration qualification at the University of Dundee. His research centres around the concepts of professionalism and their relevance to the role of a Data Protection Officer, as outlined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
